This moisturizing calendula healing balm can be used to decrease skin inflammation, heal sunburns, wounds, and other skin irritations, as well as promote new skin cell growth to keep your skin looking and feeling healthy.

Equipment
Double boiler optional (you can use a glass bowl to melt the beeswax)
Jar for storing your balm
Materials
1tbspBeeswax pellets~1 oz if cutting from a beeswax block
1/2cupCalendula infused oil
Essential Oils
18drops Lavender Essential Oil
6drops Helichrysum Essential Oil
4drops Chamomile Essential OilI like german chamomile for this
2drops Frankincense Essential Oil
Substitutions
30 drops total of your favorite essential oils in place of the above essential oils.
Instructions
Begin by melting the beeswax. I like to use a double boiler. If you don't have one you can easily create a double boiler using a glass bowl and saucepan.
Stir in the calendula infused oil. Keep on a low heat until the beeswax and calendula oil are thoroughly mixed together.
Remove from heat and drop in your essential oils. Stir the mixture until all the oils are incorporated together.
Cool slightly but before solidifying, pour the mixture into glass containers or jars.
Allow it to cool completely in the jar before using.
Notes
To get all the benefits from this balm it is important to use high quality organic essential oils that don't contain any additives or synthetic fragrances. My favorite brand for essential oils is Mountain Rose Herbs.
